The contemporary Ardmore Hotel had a total of 95 spacious and classy bedrooms, all of which contained en suite bathrooms, TVs, WiFi and beds with comfortably springy mattresses and sumptuous duvets. The marble-topped bathrooms imbued a sense of elegance and luxury, while hair dryers and clothes ironing facilities top off this well-equipped venue’s status. Breakfast times were lively and full of choice; a continental breakfast and a buffet ensuring guests were amply sated for their day ahead.
Outside, the Tolka Valley Park offers a peaceful setting, while buses regularly run to and from Dublin city centre. Should you drive, car parking in the area is available free of charge. Disability access is another strong point, with ramps and ground floor rooms handily available for those with mobility concerns. Causes for assistance are handled easily, the hotel’s reception desk manned 24 hours to help with any issues, or offer tips on what there is to see and do locally.
Update: In February 2015, it was announced that Ardmore Hotel would be sold for conversion into a nursing home. Once conversion was completed, the accommodation continued life as Ardmore Lodge Nursing Home.
