Attractions

Dublin’s many attractions form a pivotal part of its appeal to residents and tourists. Trinity College Dublin

Trinity College Dublin is the biggest and oldest university in Ireland, claiming several thousand students and a centuries old legacy in educating some of the best minds from within Eire and abroad. It also holds the distinction of being a visitor’s destination, with the campus and grounds splendidly accompanied by the ornate Trinity College Library which is the largest library in Ireland. All around are buildings formidably gleaming with fine design and culture: admiration, awe and interest are provoked by the mere sight of these structures.

Tours through parts of the university grounds are offered, with particular emphasis placed upon the library and its most famous artefact – the Book of Kells. Those stopping to see Trinity College enjoy a pleasant blend of atmospheres – the slight mustiness and flanking panjandrums encased in the library’s ample tomes, and the relaxing, verdant serenity of Trinity’s lawns and structures.

Guinness Storehouse

The Guinness Storehouse is where Ireland’s most iconic beer is brewed. Guinness stout, with its distinctive black hue and deliciously rich taste, is cited regularly to be one of the things most associated with Ireland and its culture in the minds of residents and tourists alike.

With so many visitors to Dublin eager to see the very first brewery of the world famous beer, the Guinness company has understandably made its Dublin Storehouse a fantastic tour experience. Inside the Storehouse, visitors are treated to a historic recounting the early beginnings of the beer, the evolution of the brewing machinery and storing methods, and of the modern methods used by Guinness brewers. Finally, the newly enlightened guests are invited to try a refreshing pint of Guinness in a relaxing upstairs bar with panoramic views.
